HEAL on the WATER

Created by PPSC, ‘HEAL-on-the-Water’ , is aimed at the newly disabled,  people with degenerative diseases, accidents, and military service related injuries at a time in their lives when everything is different and they feel there are many challenges ahead.

‘HEAL-on-the-Water’ offers an opportunity to see and explore the possibilities for life, recreation and hope, after significant injury. Participants gain the opportunity to practice their new mobility and daily life activities in an exciting and empowering environment with medical professionals.

The program was piloted at PPSC in 2009 with participation from Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.

There is great excitement in the Piers Park community about this program. In 2010 partners include Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital, the Shaughnessy Kaplan Rehabilitation Hospital, the Veterans Administration Hospital and many more.
