In order to achieve our mission, PPSC depends on individual support, corporate donations, and public and private grants. Your generosity helps provide our dynamic youth development programs and award winning adaptive program.
We hope you share our vision and will help us to continue to offer Outreach, Empowerment and Adventure.
Some opportunities include:
SAIL 2010 – Support Accessibility and Inclusion in Learning.
We believe it is important for everyone, regardless of age, background or ability, to have the opportunity to experience the empowering benefits of experiencing life on the water.
We are looking for new crew members to join us as we offer the opportunities of making positive life changes to the most underserved of our community.
We are launching this campaign with the goal of teaching life skills, promoting healthy living, and encouraging environmental stewardship, in supporting the youth of today to be prepared to be the leaders of the future.
HEAL- on –the- Water Program
HEAL-on-the-Water, is aimed at the newly disabled, mostly adults, victims of degenerative diseases, accidents, and military service related injuries at a time in their lives when everything is different and they feel there is no hope.
This program offers an opportunity to see and explore the possibilities for life, recreation and hope after severe injury. Participants gain the opportunity to practice their new mobility and daily life activities in an exciting and empowering environment with their known physical and occupational therapists.
Our experience was that both the mentors and the patients found this strategy grounding, fulfilling and empowering. Our adult program members volunteer as skippers and companion sailors.
Piers Park Scholarship Fund
We make our programs available to all different kinds of people with all different kinds of disabilities. Generous donors make that dream a reality.
Your generous gift allows the Piers Park Scholarship Program to provide opportunities for children to participate in our programs.
Corporate Events
Tailored Leadership
We will help to customize a program focused on teaching participants to
complete a challenging task together in a safe and exciting environment.
The days activities will be structured to highlight the key attributes of
achieving high-performance through a range of innovative exercises. To
finish, your group will be fully debriefed. These discussions will be related
back to the workplace, extracting valuable learning that can be used the
very next day.
Team Development
The staff at Piers Park understand teamwork. We believe that the cockpit
of a sailboat is the best place to develop trust, communication, and leadership. Come find out what a day on the water can do for your team!
