Piers Park Sailing Program has expanded our popular in-school and out-of-school time programming to include US Sailing REACH curriculum and on-the-dock lessons in marine and climate science. Piers Park Sailing Center’s “Floating Classroom” program uses a custom curriculum derived from various resources including: US Sailing guidelines for sanctioned “Learn to Sail” programs, US Sailings “REACH” program created to adhere to common core and Next Generation Science standards, and curriculum standards and skills created to fit specifically with the goals and mission of Piers Park.
