Our expert instructors break down the fundamentals into hands-on lessons that make sailing approachable, fun and empowering. Learn in a supportive community, and soon you’ll be out on the water with skill and confidence.
For an additional $99 testing fee, you can also earn your US Sailing Basic Keelboat Certification.
After completing the course you are eligible to use our fleet of Sonars with a valid sailing pass.

You’ll learn the basics of sailing, including parts of the boat, wind awareness, steering, sail handling, safety procedures and essential sailing terminology. By the end of the course, you’ll feel confident and comfortable on the water.
Learn to Sail courses typically run over four days. The exact schedule and number of classes are listed on this page, so you can choose the option that works best for you.
Classes are open to adults over 21 years old.
We recommend wearing weather-appropriate clothing that can get wet, closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, and a reusable water bottle. Life jackets and all sailing equipment are provided.
You’ll sail with an instructor and other students, depending on class size and boat type. This creates a supportive learning environment where you can practice skills safely.
