Harbor Explorers
A typical day on the harbor
In Harbor Explorers, students experience the adventure of sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and fishing while also learning social skills and introductory marine science topics.
Each morning, students should expect to check in and play a game with their peers and the instructors. They’ll then join their groups and sail, kayak, paddle board, or fish. They complete lessons about local ecology, how the boats work, Boston Harbor, environmental care. All students are provided a nutritious lunch, and then rotate through afternoon activities, ensuring every student gets time on the water and learns all we have to offer in the Harbor Explorers program.

Testimonials
Hear from our happy sailors.
This summer was truly special for my kids (11 and 6) at Piers Park. They loved every moment and learned so much in such a short amount of time. I've never seen them so enthusiastic about an activity before. I'm so grateful that opportunities like this exist for kids in East Boston.
I am forever grateful of the great opportunity Piers Park Sailing has provided my children for the past several years as Harbor Explorers. Their commitment to teach children all aspects of sailing is remarkable. The staff goes above and beyond their call of duty. All staff members are genuinely friendly and caring. Thank you for providing my children with another wonderful year of learning.
Our kid loves the programs at Piers Park. Camp was so much fun and so educational and so well run that our kid signed up for the fall programs and wants to go back next summer. Piers Park Sailing Center is a beautiful culture. The kids that work here are empowered. The directors are graduates and are very caring. Great strategic vision. We are very lucky to have found this place.
