The Teen Training Program (TTP) at Piers Park Sailing Center is one of two Green Jobs Programs for teens.
TTP is for youth age 14 and 15 that have completed the Future Leaders Program. The Future Leaders Program, our other Green Jobs Program, is available for all 14 year old staff that wish to opt-in.
The Teen Training Program runs concurrently with the Spring and Fall Sailing After School programs. This six-week series is hands on, paid, and provides all the skills necessary for teens to sail independently and to coach and mentor others on the dock and on the water.
The program typically leads to paid, full time summer employment in July and August in the Harbor Explorers Program. Many of the Harbor Explorers Instructional Staff get their job by successfully completing the Teen Training Program. If you have questions about this program, email Omar at osahrour@piersparksailing.org or text the sailing center at 617-561-6677.
